Restoration of the dune ecosystem in Gouverneur told in pictures. This was a unique, extraordinary, and science-based effort to restore a complete ecosystem at one time.  By designing the entire structure from sand, to architecture to the full diversity of plants, the system was restored by a dedicated restoration team.
